Effective June 12th, 2024, Air India is implementing a significant change regarding the Reservation Booking Designator (RBD) for connecting sectors.
Highlights:
· The airline is transitioning to a new revenue management system based on the origin destination (OD) approach.
· With this change, passengers will be able to book both the international and domestic sectors using the Prime RBD.
· Prior to this change the RBD on the connecting sector differed from the Prime RBD.
· The new system simplifies the process by allowing the entire booking to be made using the Prime RBD.

Further, we strongly advise opting for the Metro as the preferred commuting mode to reach the airport. This approach may assist in minimizing the inconveniences arising from road diversions en route to the airport, leading to a faster and smoother journey.
